And the time has come to mentor another A100 class, oh how the days have flown by since those moments of wondering what it would feel like to be a diplomat...It was great to meet the 161st class, with 94 people, it's definitely bigger than what seems like our measly 55-person class. It's great to see another diverse and successful bunch so excited about meeting their new colleagues and starting this new adventure. Per usual, everyone wonders what I did to get London for a 1st tour :)
Meanwhile, rumor is that I have a bid list for my 2nd tour waiting in my State email inbox, I can't believe it! We were all expecting not to get it for another month. It's amazing that I could know before I go to London where we're heading to in the Middle East after that (I have Arabic points). There is a certain charm about knowing where we'll be for the next 4 years.
