Once again I have lapsed in my blogging but here I am begging for forgiveness :) It will be 3 weeks this Wednesday that I've arrived in the UK and the hubby has been here for more than a week now. I will preface my commentary with an important tidbit (something my husband is all too familiar with ha): I am extremely impatient and have very high expectations for myself.
How has it been so far? Considering we're in an English-speaking country, not much can be wrong. There's an incredible diversity in people here, in turn offering us a huge city to conquer. Even though we both have lived in our share of big cities before, something about being here has made me feel a bit lost in the milieu of it all. Then there's the fact that the Embassy is huge - makes it really hard to make friends at work. Everyone is super nice, just seems to be doing their own thing.
Highlights of our time so far: authentic diverse food (we've had fabulous Jamaican & Lebanese food), family here, access to things to do here and throughout Europe.
